How SuperLanguage Assessments Work

SuperLanguage assessments focus on writing and speaking skills. Before the Writing and Speaking sections, test takers rate their reading and listening skills through a series of Can-Do Statements. These ratings help determine the difficulty of the Writing and Speaking prompts. All prompts are in English.

Avant STAMP and SuperLanguage testing combined now deliver assessments in over 140 languages. Avant has streamlined the testing process to enhance accessibility and efficiency. The number of supported languages is expected to grow significantly, allowing more students to showcase their language skills for academic and professional advancement.

Expert Raters for Authentic Assessments

Quality and authenticity are at the heart of what we do. For each language we test, we hire and train raters who are not just experts but also passionate advocates for the language they assess. Each rater follows the rigorous Avant Certified Rater training process. Our training approach sets the highest standard for inter-rater reliability in the field.
